The Massachusetts Democratic Party presidential primary should be an easy win for Senator Elizabeth Warren, but Joe Biden is working hard to overtake her on her own turf.

The presidential primary vote for both Republicans and Democrats in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts will take place on March 3, 2020. The only action will be on the Democratic Party ballot.

Senator Elizabeth Warren is the senior senator from Massachusetts and the only candidate from the Bay State who is still viable at this time. In an ordinary year, she would easily sweep up the majority of the voters in the primary.

But this is not an ordinary year, and former Vice President Joe Biden is looking to knock out Warren with a strong showing in her home state. Vice Presiden Biden is publicly flexing his muscles with an impressive showing of elected Massachusetts Democrats who are supporting his campaign. These Massachusetts Democrats are willing to tell the world they are with Biden, and not with their senior Senator.

Some of the locally-elected Democrats supporting Biden are:

– State Representative Christopher Markey of Dartmouth and New Bedford

– State Representative Christopher Hendricks of New Bedford and Acushnet

– State Representative Carole Fiola of Fall River

– State Representative Alan Silvia of Fall River

Each of these local elected Democrats brings a powerful get out the vote organization to the Biden campaign efforts in Massachusetts.

The Biden campaign also has the endorsement of Congressman Stephen Lynch and former Massachusetts Lt. Gov. Thomas P. O'Neill III and their respective spheres of political influence. The men and women of the Massachusetts Democratic Party play for keeps and they don't make endorsements lightly.

Senator Elizabeth Warren has to be concerned about how so many of her home state Democrats felt comfortable going with Joe Biden rather than her.
