The seventh annual Memorial Craft Fair in honor of fallen firefighter Ryan Ferreira is returning to Dartmouth.

The event runs Sunday, Nov. 12, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., at Dartmouth High School, 555 Bakerville Road.

Ferreira was a firefighter/paramedic in Walpole and an on-call firefighter for Dartmouth, his hometown.

He died at 31 in 2016 after suffering a brain aneurysm, leaving behind his fiancée, a young daughter and an amazing family that's well-known in the community.

This craft fair will be held in the high school gym with 140 vendors. Each year, Amanda Alcaidinho, the owner of 3GenLove, organizes and brings together local small businesses for the event.

"I thoroughly enjoy putting together this event," Alcaidinho said. "I pour my heart and soul into it as something to remember Ryan by. He, his twin Bobby Ferreira and I grew up in the fire department and when he passed, this was my way of giving back to the family. They are always going out of their way to support the community, and this was simply my way of giving back."

The Ferreira clan also works for the Dartmouth school department and sets up a vendor table each year selling candy apples and chocolate treats. The money raised goes directly to the memorial fund set up in Ferreira's name.

The fair is family-friendly with activities for kids such as face painting, a sand art table, and a visit by Ariel from The Little Mermaid and Marshall from Paw Patrol.

Finally, there will be a giant raffle table with over 100 prizes available. All proceeds will go directly to the Ryan Ferreira Memorial Foundation which will supply scholarships to high school students.
