Coit: Patriots Will Overcome ‘Mutiny’ and Beat the Dolphins
Patriots and Dolphins are both in the basement as they square off in a 1 o'clock kickoff at Gillette Stadium. The struggle is real in Miami as they are marching out their third string quarterback for the start. Here in Foxboro, things are allegedly starting to get testy.
The Patriots have lost three in a row, and they're looking to put an end to their 3 game losing streak with Captain Jacoby Brissett under center. Here's the problem. There's a report out of Foxboro this morning that the Patriots locker room is starting to split. According to the Boston Globe, team officials have taken down a podcast after a reporter said the players are "teetering on a mutiny" over the simmering quarterback controversy.
The problem is, Jacoby Brissett is fighting for his life at times out there. Sending the rookie quarterback out into the wild might backfire, similar to the way it backfired on Mac Jones and his confidence.
In the face of the controversy, however, Nick Coit believes there could be an opportunity to snap the losing streak. "This could be a game where they come home and have an opportunity to go out on their home turf an if they take care of the football and compete the way that they did the first couple of weeks, they'll have a chance to win this game."
Make no mistake about it, says Coit, the Dolphins still have the talent, but it's just a matter of making it all gel together for them.
That being said, Nick Coit is picking the Patriots to win in their return to Gillette. "The key is going to be taking care of the football. If the can do it, I think they got a good shot to win, and I think they do bounce back on Sunday.
