Incident Not Kidnapping, Say Taunton Police

Taunton Police say they want to address some social media reports about a reported kidnapping.

Officers responded to Myles Standish Industrial Park after receiving reports that a woman had been bound and gagged.

However, upon investigation it was determined that the underlying facts did not support the initial report of a kidnapping and the woman was undergoing a mental health episode.

Taunton Police say they want to assure the public that no kidnapping has occurred and that there is no threat to public safety.
