The Executive Director of the New Bedford Housing Authority got some good news at Thursday night's Authority meeting. They unanimously voted to extend Executive Director Steve Beauregard's contract and give him a 3 per cent raise which brings his new salary to a little over 138 thousand dollars a year. There was a brief discussion of the terms of the new contract.

Orginally, Beauregard's deal was set to expite in August of 2016. The new contract extends the date to December of 2017, per a state request that contracts go by calendar year. The contract also includes a 24-7 use of a personal vehicle leased by the Authority.
