New Bedford Man Admits to Stashing Glock with Conversion Device at Massachusetts School

BOSTON (WBSM) — A New Bedford convicted felon has pleaded guilty to possessing a firearm and ammunition on the grounds of a Foxboro elementary school.

According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Jameel Clark-White, 33, pleaded guilty in federal court in Boston on August 26 to one count of being a felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition, and one count of possessing a firearm in a school zone. He was indicted by a federal grand jury in September 2025.

Clark-White admitted to traveling from New Bedford to Foxboro on the morning of June 12, 2025, to attend a school function at the Charles G. Taylor Elementary School. Prior to the function, he was involved in a collision with another vehicle in the school’s parking lot.

Foxboro School Parking Lot Crash Leads to Gun Discovery

Before police arrived on the scene, Clark-White tossed a .45-caliber Glock pistol underneath two parked cars in the school parking lot. The pistol included a “machine gun conversion device,” according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, and Clark-White also tossed with it two additional loaded magazines.

Clark-White fled the scene and was not apprehended until July 22.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office said he is prohibited from possessing firearms due to prior felony convictions.

Sentencing and Potential Prison Time

If convicted, the charge of being a felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition provides for a sentence of up to 15 years in prison, up to three years of supervised release, and a fine of up to $250,000. The charge of possessing a firearm in a school zone provides for a sentence of up to five years in prison, up to one year of supervised release, and a fine of up to $100,000.

Clark-White is scheduled to be sentenced on December 11, 2026.
