Hodgson’s Daughter Released On Personal Recognizance
The daughter of Bristol County Sheriff Thomas Hodgson entered a not guilty plea Tuesday in District Court, on a charge of witness intimidation.
Michelle Hodgson was arrested early Saturday outside the Jalice Cafe on Acushnet Avenue, where seven people were shot. Police say none of the wounds were life threatening.
Prosecutors said in court Tuesday, Hodgson was with another woman when one of them kicked a blood-soaked boot at the crime scene. Reminded by an officer they were disturbing evidence, Michelle Hodgson responded by saying, "do you know my father's the sheriff, and she told the officer she would have his job."
The 29 year old Hodgson was released on personal recognizance. Her case was continued to October. Her attorney, Scott DeMello told reporters after the court hearing, he was confident his client would be completely exonerated
