Thomas Hodgson, perhaps the most prominent Republican office holder in the region, will be sworn in next month for a fourth term as the High Sheriff of Bristol County.

The ceremony will be held on January 4th at 6:30pm at Bristol Community College in Fall River.  Governor Charlie Baker will administer the oath.

Hodgson won re-election last November for another six year term. He was unopposed.

In a press release, the Sheriff said he plans to do everything he can to protect the people of Bristol County, and make it a safe place to live and work.

Also being sworn in will be Bristol County Deputy Sheriffs from communities across the county. The event is free and open to the public.
