The United Way of Greater New Bedford has been busy since the first days of the COVID-19 pandemic, collecting donations to help families pay their mortgage or rent, and helping with boxes of food for those in need.

Both programs have been a big success, according to Victoria Grasela, Director of Marketing and Community Engagement. The United Way collected more than $240,000 in donations to help families and still has money left for those who are struggling.

Victoria spoke this week on Townsquare Sunday about the United Way's campaigns and how you can apply for help.

Townsquare Sunday is a weekly public affairs program heard every Sunday morning at 6 a.m. on 1420 WBSM. Interview segments can also be heard at WBSM.com, on the WBSM app, and on WBSM TV on YouTube.
