Community Autism Resources will hold its "16th Annual Hearts and Hands 5k Walk/Run for Autism" and a family-fun day at Francis Farm in Rehoboth on Saturday, September 21 from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Community Autism Resources is an autism support center that serves 82 cities and towns from the Greater Fall River area to the South Shore, and also the Cape and Islands. Community Autism Resources is partially sponsored by the Department of Developmental Services but still depends on this annual walk/run to help raise their funds.

Family Fun Day will be featuring fun activities such as carnival-style games, a bubble creation station, arts and crafts, face painting, and two bounce houses. Popcorn and Sno-Cones will be available as well as the chance to have a meet and greet photo opportunities with various characters.

There is a $25 early bird registration fee, and then it goes up to $30 after that. The run will be 3.1 miles, or a 5k, whereas the walk is only 2 miles and will not be timed. This event will be held rain or shine.
