Hate Trumps Compassion in Boston [OPINION]
First Lady Melania Trump was protested in Boston yesterday by insane leftists as she literally hugged drug-addicted babies at the Boston Medical Center. These weren't your usual Antifa types, but rather employees of the Medical Center. Doctors and nurses. Dozens of them.
Welcome to loony-toons Massachusetts, Melania.
Mrs. Trump had too much class to acknowledge the protestors, who were more concerned about her husband's immigration policies than in Melania's efforts to draw attention to BMC's groundbreaking programs to help ease the pain of withdrawal for babies born with an addiction to opioids. How sick and twisted is that?
Some 250 hospital employees signed a petition demanding the First Lady's visit be canceled. It wasn't, and to her credit, Massachusetts First Lady Lauren Baker participated in a roundtable discussion with Melania at the hospital.
Mrs. Trump praised BMC and promised to "continue to raise awareness about Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome and promote the incredibly important resources and programs that provide families with the care and help they need."
Like many of the ding-bat politicians in Massachusetts, the hospital employees who protested Mrs. Trump's visit were putting the interests of illegal immigrants ahead of the needs of drug-addicted newborns here at home. The level of misguided hatred of all things Trump is remarkable.
You are an embarrassment to the Commonwealth and to your profession.
Boston Medical Center is a research facility. My wish is that someday soon their staff will invent a cure for Trump Derangement Syndrome and then eat it.
