GNB Garden Club Grows On Worthy Students

The Greater New Bedford Garden Club has a rich, local history that goes back to World War II. Every year, their signature "Plant Sale" attracts hundreds of folks looking for perennials, herbs, annuals, shrubs and even vegetables at very reasonable prices!

It's also a time for the GNB Garden Club members to show off their green thumbs! And, the proceeds go to the Greater New Bedford Garden Club Scholarship Fund. Every year, the club gives two - one thousand dollar scholarships to local students.

The venue is the same, at the Acushnet Council on Aging property located at 59 1/2  South Main St., Acushnet. The Plant Sale goes on, rain or shine, Saturday, May 17 from 9 a.m. to noon. If you've never been, you should take in one of the best plant sales around!
