The New Bedford Wind Energy Center is hosting several delegations of wind power executives  from Europe and Asia this week, interested in how the offshore wind industry is taking hold in New Bedford. 

Managing Director Matt Morrissey tells WBSM News, groups from Hamburg and Cuxhaven, Germany were in the city Monday, taking a close look at what New Bedford has to offer.

About 60 visitors from Germany boarded the Cuttyhunk ferry on Monday to inspect New Bedford Harbor and get a close up look at the Marine Commerce Terminal construction site.  A group from China will be in New Bedford Tuesday. 

The groups are in the area attending the American Offshore Wind Energy Conference being held in Providence.  The New Bedford Wind Energy Center is sponsoring a portion of that conference,.
