Fulbright Scholar Danielle Lopez of New Bedford returns to Townsquare Sunday this week. Danielle appeared on the program just over a year ago after being named a Fulbright Scholar.

She spent the last year teaching the English language to students in Malaysia while learning more about the world we live in.
As a youngster, Danielle and her family battled poverty but never forgot the importance of education. She graduated from New Bedford High School in 2012 and went on to attend Bridgewater State University, where she graduated in 2017.

She attended Dennison Memorial Community center between the ages of 8 and 16 and still volunteers there. In 2018, Dennison presented Danielle with a Founder's Award for her remarkable achievements.

Danielle's educational journey is not over. She is planning to attend graduate school to study dentistry. Her Townsquare Sunday interview can be heard here:
