FREETOWN — Freetown police are on the lookout for an SUV that was stolen from the driveway of an East Freetown home over the weekend — and they're asking for the public's help finding the suspect.

The vehicle, a silver 2011 GMC Acadia with Massachusetts Gold Star license plate GS1924, was reported stolen from a Cushman Avenue driveway on Sunday morning.

Police said the owner last saw the SUV parked in their driveway at around 10 p.m. Saturday.

The doors were likely left unlocked and the keys were in the vehicle when it was stolen, according to police.

Gold Star plates are given for free to immediate family members of servicemembers who were killed in action.

Police are asking residents of the area to check home surveillance video for any suspicious people or vehicles after 10 p.m. on Saturday, May 13 through the early morning hours of Sunday, May 14.

Anyone with any information on the vehicle's whereabouts or any suspects is asked to contact Freetown Police.
