If you have always wanted to see the Christmas classics on the big screen, Showcase Cinemas has you covered. This season they are bringing a number of holiday films back into the theaters for you and your family to experience like a new release.

Some of them are even free to see.

They call it the "Holiday Classics" program and it returns this Saturday, Dec. 3, with a free viewing of Daddy's Home 2, followed by the film Scrooged back in theaters for Dec. 10 -- again totally free.

Those interested in seeing these holiday films for free in local Showcase Cinemas need to reserve seats at Showcase Cinemas website or through the free mobile app. Moviegoers are also asked to bring a non-perishable food item for donation to local food banks in exchange for the free screening.

It's a great way for the theaters to give back while giving local families some fantastic holiday entertainment.

The free movies aren't the only holiday films coming back to the big screen at Showcase Cinemas this season.

Showcase also will have "Festive Favorites" throughout the month, including Elf on Dec/ 8, 14 and 19.

Plus, take the kids to see The Polar Express on Sunday, Dec. 11, or Tuesday, Dec. 13, or A Christmas Story on Monday, Dec. 12 or Tuesday, Dec. 20.

Adults will love the reshowing of National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation back on the big screen on Sunday, Dec. 11, and Wednesday, Dec. 14, and everyone can settle in for a screening of It's a Wonderful Life at select locations on Sunday, Dec. 18, and Wednesday, Dec. 21.

Check your favorite Showcase Cinemas locations to see which festive favorites you can watch in the theaters again this season and get ready to get comfy in the big reclining seats Showcase offers.
