Former Massachusetts homeowners who lost their property to foreclosure between 2008 and 2011 only have a few days to file for their share of a settlement with some of the nation's largest lenders.

About 21-thousand people are estimated to be eligible to receive between 15-hundred and two-thousand dollars from the 25-billion-dollar settlement that involved Bank of America, Chase, Wells Fargo, Citibank and Ally Financial.

State Attorney General Martha Coakley is urging all eligible residents to file before Friday's deadline in order to receive their payment from the settlement.  Anyone who has not already received a claim form is urged to contact the settlement administrator at 1-866-430-8358.

To be eligible, a state resident must have had their home foreclosed between January 1st, 2008 and December 31st, 2011, and had their loan held by one of the five banks that were party to the settlement.  (Metro Network Inc.)
