One firefighter was hospitalized after battling a fire at a triple decker on Third St. in Fall River Thursday morning.

The two-alarm fire broke out around 10:30 a.m. and Fire Chief John Lynch tells ABC6 that he believes it started on the first floor.

There were five apartments in the building and four of them were occupied.

The injured firefighter sustained minor burns and was taken to the hospital.

The incident remains under investigation.
