Federal prosecutors say they will seek the death penalty for the accused Boston Marathon bomber.

Dzhokhar Tsarnaev is accused, along with his brother, of setting off bombs that killed three people and injured hundreds more last April.

Tamerlan Tsarnaev  was killed in a shootout with police a few days after the attack.

In a statement, Attorney General Eric Holder said the "nature of the conduct at issue and the resultant harm compel this decision." (Metro Networks Inc.)
