You know, gardening is cheaper than professional therapy, plus you get free tomatoes! Well, the locally grown tomatoes, fruits and veggies won't be free but lots of music and family activities will be at no charge with the celebration of the grand opening of the New Bedford Farmer's Market, Thursday, July 23, 2015 at Custom House Square in historic downtown New Bedford.

Mayor Jon Mitchell will officially launch the event that will offer many family activities for the children and live music. Mass In Motion and SEMAP, in cooperation with the Mayor's office, invite the public to come by and look over the vast selection of fresh, locally grown products. The New Bedford Farmer's Market runs Mondays' at Brooklawn Park from 2 - 6 pm, Thursdays' at Custom House Square from 2 - 6 pm and Saturdays' at Clasky Common from 9 am - 1 pm. They say life began in a garden, so remember your roots. See you there!
