FALL RIVER (WBSM) — The man indicted on murder and other charges in connection to the 2023 homicide of 23-year-old Diamonte Odom of Fall River and who is also charged in connection to a recent double homicide has been apprehended.
The Bristol County District Attorney’s Office said Tajon Saxon, 26, was previously indicted on charges of murder, carrying a loaded illegal firearm and carrying an illegal firearm in the May 13, 2023 homicide of Odom.
Saxon had been at large for almost a year, and the D.A.’s Office said he was the subject of an intensive manhunt before being apprehended yesterday in New Bedford by the Massachusetts State Police Violent Fugitive Apprehension Section.
The D.A.’s Office said Saxon is also wanted on a default warrant in connection to the May 2021 Fall River double homicide of Jovaughn Mills and Miguel Sanjurjo, where he is charged with two counts of accessory to murder-after the fact.
Last week, Jeremy Holmes of Fall River was found guilty of the murders of Mills and Sanjurjo.
Saxo is scheduled to appear this morning in Fall River Superior Court.
