It's been a long time coming, but I finally got to witness the famous Marc Dennis perform on stage.

Yes, I'm late to the game, but I'm a fan of Mr. Dennis, a well-known Portuguese-American performer, and his catchy hit single "Superman."

On Saturday, March 5, I was providing music and entertainment for the WES-MAC and Westport Middle-High School PTO. They hosted a casino night to help raise money for school programs, sports, and more at The Cultural Center in Fall River, which by the way, is owned by Dennis.

The time had come for me to wrap up my set when I noticed that I had just enough time for one final song. It needed to be a good one.

Immediately, I spotted Dennis in the crowd and decide to take matters into my own hands and hit play on "Superman." Not only did it catch Dennis's attention, but he ran to the stage, borrowed my microphone and began singing along to his song.

He clearly understood the assignment.

One by one, the crowd began singing along (including yours truly) and it was quite the sight to see. "Superman, Superman!" the crowd sang out as I checked off yet another bucket-list item.

Of course, as the saying goes, "Video or it didn't happen." Well, allow me to introduce to you the one and only Marc Dennis.

As a bonus, I even got a little shoutout mid-song so I guess you can say I'm pretty stoked.

Not-So-Rave Reviews for Fall River's Braga Bridge

Love it or hate, most drivers on the SouthCoast use it several times a week. Now some of them have taken to Google to review their experience on Fall River's Braga Bridge.

See How Much This Fall River Intersection Has Changed in a Decade

Well this is surely a blast from the past. While exploring Google Maps' street view feature recently, I came across an old still from 2012 mixed in with the more recent ones. It showed an almost decade-old look at Fall River's New Harbour Mall, which is now dead and has been replaced by the stores at the SouthCoast Marketplace. The more I looked around the intersection on William Canning Boulevard, the more I began to see remnants of the past, some that may now be long-forgotten for some. This Fall River intersection has changed so much in the past near-decade, but if you're needing a little look in the rearview to see how far it's come, check out some of the following stills.
