BOSTON (WBSM) — A Fall River man pleaded guilty today in federal court in Boston to shipping cocaine through the U.S. mail from California to Massachusetts.

According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Justin Dupras, 42, pleaded guilty to one count of attempting to possess cocaine with the intent to distribute.

Dupras mailed a package containing about two grams of cocaine from a post office in Los Angeles, California to Fall River on December 17, 2024. He then returned to Massachusetts and on December 19 drove to the Fall River Post Office. Another person signed for the package containing the cocaine and handed it to Dupras.

Dupras mailed other packages containing cocaine from California to Massachusetts on multiple other occasions as well, including sending more than two kilos both on September 17, 2024 and October 29, 2024. The U.S. Attorney’s Office said flight records show Dupras flying back to Massachusetts on the same day he mailed each of those packages.

The charge of attempting to possess cocaine with the intent to distribute provides for a sentence of up to 30 years in prison, up to a lifetime of supervised release and a fine of up to $2,000,000.

Dupras is scheduled to be sentenced on September 4, 2025.
