Fall River Man Held Without Bail in Fatal East Boston Stabbing
BOSTON (WBSM) — A Fall River man has been charged in an East Boston killing and ordered held without bail.
On Thursday, January 11, Julio Ardon, 26, was arrested at 464 Birch St. in Fall River. At the time of the arrest, Ardon was wanted on a warrant for assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.
Prosecutors say Ardon is one of two men charged in the stabbing death of Wilfredo Arevalo, 34, of Medford.
Police arrested Edwin Hernandez, 20, of Everett, in December, and also charged him with murder in connection to Arevalo's homicide.
The charges date back to December 15, 2023, when police found Arevalo suffering life-threatening stab wounds on Grove Street in East Boston. Boston EMS transported him to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Ardon will be arraigned in East Boston District Court.
The Boston Police Department’s Homicide Unit is reviewing the facts. Anyone with information can call the homicide unit at 617-343-4470.
