
Fall River Police Charge 31-Year-Old in Connection With Mayor Flanagan Stabbing
FALL RIVER (WBSM) — The identity of the person arrested in connection with the stabbing of former Fall River Mayor Will Flanagan on Monday has been released.
Suspect Identified and Arrested
Fall River Police identified him as Corree Gonzales, 31.
Gonzales was arrested at around 8:30 a.m. today in connection with Flanagan’s stabbing, which occurred at around 5 p.m. on October 20 in the 100 block of Hartwell Street, near Flanagan’s cannabis dispensary, Cosmopolitan.

Charges and Additional Allegations
Gonzales was at first detained by police in connection with the stabbing, and then allegedly assaulted police officers, resulting in his arrest and an additional four counts of assault and battery on a police officer.
Police Response and Community Safety
“We would like to thank our officers and detectives for their tenacity and commitment in swiftly apprehending Corree Gonzales and ensuring the safety of our community,” police wrote in a Facebook post.
