Upon receiving this information, the school was immediately placed on lockdown. School Resource Officers located the student and brought them to an administrative office, where they were searched by both law enforcement and school officials.

Police said no weapon was found.

Officers also searched the student’s home. The person who provided the tip was also identified and interviewed by police.

By the time police posted the information at 11:44 a.m., the lockdown had already been lifted. Students have already been dismissed, as today had been scheduled as a half-day, but police noted that all afterschool activities were canceled for today.
