The Town of Fairhaven is closing out celebrations of it's bicentennial year. Town officials gathered in Town Hall Saturday afternoon, to thank the residents for a successful year of events, and to fill a time capsule with books, articles, and other items pertaining to Fairhaven.

Awards were presented to the town's thirteen most influential people of the last fifty years. Selectman Bob Espindola says they've established a prime example for the next generation of Fairhaven's leaders....

Town Select Chair Brian Bowcock extended his thanks to those who made all of the year's bicentennial events possible....

The time capsule, made with wood from a town tree and granite from Fort Phoenix, has been sealed and will remain so until February 22, 2063.

An oil painting of the Fairhaven skyline by local artist Kevin Cormier was also presented to the town to commemorate it's 200th birthday.
