SouthCoast residents and movie lovers are invited to join in the 50th anniversary of the 1975 summer hit Jaws in Fairhaven this June.

A special screening of Jaws will be played at Fort Phoenix in celebration of the movie's milestone.

HarborFest Celebration Comes To Fairhaven

The town of Fairhaven will be celebrating the summer and its community with Huttleston HarborFest, a new addition to the town on select Saturdays throughout the season.

Weekend events will include food vendors, local artisans and more.

Various themes will be held each month, including Dog Days of Summer, Splash of Art, Medieval Faire and Jaws.

Jaws 50th Anniversary

On Saturday, June 21 (just one day after the actual anniversary), guests are invited to join in on a fin-tastic celebration of sharks, seafood, sweets and more at Jaws Turns 50.

HarborFest even encourages you to to dress in Jaws-themed attire and "channel your inner beachgoer from Amity Island."

11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.: Vendor Market and Daytime Festivities

Enjoy live music, games, activities, shark-themed decor, snacks, food trucks, photo ops, local vendors and more at this family-friendly event.

7:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.: Outdoor Movie Night

Bring your blankets and chairs and cozy up for the free outdoor screening of Jaws beginning at 8:30 p.m.
