How Maura Healey Is Referenced in the Epstein Files
Keep in mind, not everyone whose name is in the Epstein files is a lech, deviant, or pervert. Case in point, Massachusetts Governor Maura Healey is in there, and she never met the creeper Jeffrey Epstein, nor has she ever visited his notorious Caribbean island.
The files contain references, correspondence, and other material that are completely irrelevant to Epstein's nefarious activities.

Healey's name appears in the files because the former political consulting firm of Epstein's pal James P. McGee was under contract with Healey's campaign for Massachusetts Attorney General. McGee also bragged in an email to Epstein that he was a top adviser to Healey.

Documents related to the FBI's investigation of the Read murder case appear in the Epstein files, but there is no clear reason why. It is likely because the FBI conducted a federal investigation into the death of John O'Keefe that lasted about two years and concluded in 2025.
Using the DOJ Epstein Search Engine
A U.S. Department of Justice search engine lets you search the millions of pages of documents released in the Epstein case. Some of what you might find will surprise you.
There are four sets of documents in the files related to the Karen Read trial.
