Educators Union And School Nurses Help Needy Students

The New Bedford Educators Association and school nurses teamed up again this year to come to the aid of needy students in the school district. 

The union received an $1,800 grant from its parent organization, Mass. Teachers Association to purchase winter coats, other clothing and school supplies for students.

St. John says Karen Regan did a grant job in finding bargains.  She was able to acquire about $3,000 worth of clothing and supplies. 

The items will be distributed to needy students on Tuesday.
