The Prince Henry Society of New Bedford has an enviable record when it comes to awarding scholarship money to area students.

Over the past 40 years, the civic organization has awarded nearly a million dollars in scholarships to students on the SouthCoast. But the good work doesn't stop there. The Prince Henry Society is also involved in many community projects, including the donation of 200 Christmas baskets to needy families in 2019.

Education, however, is the group's top priority. Students interested in applying for a scholarship should check with their school guidance office or call Robert Gaspar at (508) 998-2012.
