Parents say more involvement is the key to success for New Bedford High School's turnaround plan.

Monday night's second meeting with Superintendent Dr. Pia Durkin featured numerous questions about how parents can contribute to the upcoming overhaul.

Christine Greany has a daughter in her junior year at the High School and agrees with the plan but wants to see more parents get involved...

Dr. Durkin shared information with parents about organizational changes in the High School. A new headmaster and two new principals will be named next week, with more teacher recruitment to follow.

Students will also spend more time in core classes such as math, english, science, and history. The new class schedule will also include advisory sessions with councilors to help students plan what to do after graduation.
