Beloved Donut Factory to Shut Doors, Teases New Concept and Location
FAIRHAVEN (WBSM) — Fairhaven’s beloved Donut Factory is closing its doors this fall, but don’t worry: the popular spot will be returning with a “brand new concept" and apparently a new name as well.
In a post this afternoon on the Donut Factory Facebook page, owners Jackie and Katie Webb announced that they’ve “decided to close the doors of The Donut Factory this September” as they “prepare for something even bigger and better!”
What Will Become of Donut Factory?
It sounds like that something could mean going even further beyond donuts, with a new location also on the horizon.
“This isn’t goodbye – it’s a new beginning,” Donut Factory wrote. “We’re working behind the scenes on a brand new concept, with an exciting menu, fresh vibes, and a brand-new location coming your way soon!”
Judging by the Facebook post, The Donut Factory will become Fork Yeah! Handcrafted Food + Drinks.
Almost a Decade of Decadent Donuts
Donut Factory opened on Rockdale Avenue in New Bedford in 2017 with a goal to “make donuts the old-fashioned way.”

The shop quickly became known for its over-the-top creations and flavor combinations, huge linguica rolls and its “X-Factor” coffee. The menu expanded to feature pizza, sandwiches, burgers and more as a Fairhaven location opened up in 2019.

In 2023, plans were announced to open another location in Westport, but Donut Factory opted for Dartmouth instead.
Do We Know What the New Concept Will Feature?
It sounds like it will be an expansion beyond the current menu, but will keep everyone's favorites.
"The X Factor and the linguica rolls will remain and be available. My sister has all of our family recipes, so they will be kept the same as well," Donut Factory posted in the comments.
Fairhaven Will Keep Turning Out Donuts for Now
In the post, Donut Factory stated that until it closes down in September, “you can continue to get your favorite Donut Factory products in the Fairhaven location,” listing the hours as Monday through Wednesday, 6 a.m. to 3 p.m., Thursday 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Friday through Sunday 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Donut Factory stated in the comments that the Dartmouth location has closed.
The Webbs did say in the Facebook post that further updates would be posted to that page, and they “promise it’ll be worth the wait.”
