Things got messy between the Los Angeles Dodgers and San Diego Padres on Thursday night. A benches clearing brawl ended up with Dodgers' pitcher Zack Greinke being seriously injured.

During the game, Matt Kemp received a high pitch, and Greinke's pitch that hit Carlos Quentin could be perceived as retaliation, but it doesn't appear that way. Greinke had the count in his favor, and the Dodgers had the lead. Obviously there was no reason for him to throw at Quentin.

Tempers were hot, and benches cleared when Quentin charged the mound. The result is a broken collarbone for Greinke, and Matt Kemp and Carlos Quentin were ejected from the game.
