How many of us allow our animals to sleep in or on our beds? If you do, you'll understand the meaning of three dog night, easily.

The terrific rock band, making a concert stop at the Z in New Bedford on Aug. 9, loved the story of its origin. The Australian Aborigines, on cold nights, would sleep bedside their dogs for warmth. The very coldest weather was called a "three dog night."

The band adopted the name and the rest of their stellar music career is history. Call the Z for tickets before you get iced out!

I'll be joined by Three Dog Night on the air before their concert in August!
