78% of Americans believe in the importance of sitting down for photos with their families, according to a poll conducted by Social Science Research Solutions for CBS News. Only 17% called family photos "somewhat important" and 4 % said they were "not very important."

In general, capturing family memories was considered more important to women than men. Family photos also seemed to be more valued among families with children under the age of 18 living in their house.
