The Cheapest Place to Buy School Supplies

If you're looking for a good deal on school supplies, Walmart is the place to go.

A new analysis from Bloomberg found Walmart prices to be 10% cheaper on average than on similar items at Target. The report was based on the prices of about 50-identical goods and found that Walmart's prices were 50% lower than KMart and 45% lower than Staples.

Bloomberg's analysts say the back-to-school pricing battle is particularly important to retailers, as it can make or break their retail image.
