Dinosaurs and Dragons Are Coming to Topsfield May 14th & 15th for Interactive Fun
I recently gave you the inside scoop on real dinosaur tracks and other fossils waiting to be discovered in Holyoke. Today, I’m filling you in a one-of-a-kind experience that brings those dinosaurs to life.
Dino & Dragon Stroll is coming to the area on May 14 and 15, bringing you up close and personal with the giant beasts that once strolled through the SouthCoast and beyond.
What to Expect
This ultimate walk-through takes you on a prehistoric journey that puts you in arm’s reach of lifelike and life-size dinosaurs and dragons.
The stroll's official website claims to have the largest creatures touring the country, so this isn’t for the faint of heart.
Velociraptors and fire-breathing dragons come to life during this interactive experience, equipped with moving heads, blinking eyes and thunderous roars.
This sounds like fun for the entire family. They even offer children’s Story Time, the “Dinosaur and Dragon Craft Creations Station,” and T-Rex ATVs.
A Stroll That Gives Back
While the interactive exhibit’s main goal is to bring life to the fantasy realm and prehistoric era, the stroll also gives back to the community at every stop it makes across the country.
“Dino & Dragon Stroll teams up with a local food bank as part of ‘Stomp Out Hunger,' an initiative to help those struggling within each local community,” the website said.
“Guests are encouraged to bring items to the event and place them in the collection bins located at the front entrance of the stroll. All collected food items will then be donated to help children and families in the local community facing hunger and food insecurities.”
Need something a little more sensory-friendly? They have that, too, with sound and light adjustments designed to be less stimulating and overwhelming.
May 14 and 15 at the Topsfield Fairgrounds, 207 Boston St., Topsfield, MA 01983
Let your child’s imagination come to life next month. I have a feeling they would talk about this field trip for years to come.
