Dartmouth Police Searching for Bank Robbery Suspect
DARTMOUTH — Police are on the lookout for the suspect in a Dartmouth bank robbery yesterday morning after a man allegedly threatened a bank teller with a knife and fled with the cash.
Dartmouth police said that officers were called to the 502 State Rd. Bristol County Savings Bank at around 11:52 a.m. Monday for a reported armed robbery.
Officers determined that an unidentified man had come in, threatened a bank teller with a knife, and demanded money.
After he got the cash he left the bank and allegedly ran west towards the Dartmouth Walmart.
No injuries were reported during the robbery.
Police were unable to find the suspect after an extensive search of the area.
The man is described as being white and around five feet seven inches tall, with a stocky build and brown hair.
At the time of the robbery, he was wearing gray sweatpants, black sneakers, a hooded sweatshirt, and a white surgical mask.
