Dartmouth Man Arrested for Breaking and Entering
DARTMOUTH — On Thursday, February 1, 2018 at approximately 6:08 a.m., Dartmouth Police responded to 8 Howard Street after the homeowner reported that a male was inside of his residence attempting to remove copper pipes.
Upon arrival, officers observed the male suspect flee from the residence.
After a brief foot chase, the male suspect was taken into custody and subsequently identified as Erik Paul Silvia, 39, of 19 Howard Street in Dartmouth.
During the course of the investigation, it was also determined that Silvia had broken into a vehicle located on Oliver Street.
As a result of his arrest, Silvia was charged with felony breaking and entering (residence), felony breaking and entering (vehicle), and vandalism.
The arresting officer was Joshua Fredette.
