Dartmouth Mall Stabbing Suspects Arrested on Assault Charges
DARTMOUTH (WBSM) — Two juveniles connected to a Dartmouth Mall parking lot stabbing were arrested and are now facing assault charges.
Dartmouth Police responded to a call at the Dartmouth Mall on June 23 regarding a stabbing in the parking lot outside of Five Below.
Upon arrival, officers located a 16-year-old juvenile male from New Bedford with what appeared to be non-life-threatening stab wounds.
Police located the other juvenile involved, a 16-year-old male from Fall River, at Lowes on Faunce Corner Mall Road after he fled the scene on a bicycle.
After investigating, police said they believe the altercation was pre-arranged over social media.
Both individuals involved in the stabbing were transported to a local hospital. They are both being arrested and charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.
The incident is still under investigation and additional charges may be forthcoming.
