DARTMOUTH — No injuries were reported in a house fire that engulfed a Dartmouth home on Reed Road just after 11 a.m. this morning.

The house at 817 Reed Road has been largely destroyed, but according to reports from witnesses on scene, all family members and pets escaped unscathed.

Reed Road was closed to traffic between Rt. 6 and 195 for around an hour as crews worked to subdue the flames.

The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
