The Dartmouth Cultural Center on Elm Street is welcoming visitors to stop by this spring and enjoy some special works of art.

President Pauline Santos joined Townsquare Sunday this week along with Board Member Tom Leverett to run down the latest exhibits and attractions at the Cultural Center.

You still have time to stop by and enjoy art by students at Dartmouth High School. Fourteen students from the Advanced Placement Art Class are displaying their work through March 25.

"The work is amazing, and some of it is digital," Santos said. "That's what the kids are into these days."

Coming in April is an exhibit by Dartmouth artist Michael Hubert. The exhibit will open on April 7 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

"He does some abstract work, along with paintings of the shoreline along Padanaram Harbor, and it's very impressive," Santos said.

In addition to being a board member, Leverett also serves as a grant writer for the Cultural Center. He is currently seeking grant money for the upkeep of the 133-year-old building, and has already had some success, winning a $160,000 grant from the Massachusetts Cultural Council.

Donations also continue to come in.

"We have some new donors and we hope people will support the projects we're working on," Leverett said.
