A Dartmouth contractor pleads guilty to filing a false tax return.

The U.S. Attorney's Office says 57-year old Gerald Sicard appeared this week in U.S. Federal Court in Boston, and admitted under-reporting his income in 2007 by more than $300,000.  The false tax return deprived the government of about  $112,000 in tax revenue.

Sicard will be sentenced on May 15th, and could face up to three years in jail, although Sicard's attorney's and the U.S. Attorney's Office will recommend a period of home confinement instead of jail time.
