The Dartmouth After-Prom Committee is looking to raise money for the 2025 after-prom party by holding a fundraising concert on March 22 at the Vault in downtown New Bedford.

The fundraiser, known as DHS Fest 2025, will raise money to keep graduates and friends busy and safe following the senior prom.

After-Prom Party Advisor Jessica Brittingham and DHS 2021 Graduate Jacob Gervais joined Townsquare Sunday to get the word out about the Vault fundraiser.

"These days, it cost about $35,000 to host an after-prom party," Brittingham said. "The money is raised through donations and fund-raising efforts. No school department funding is used for the after-prom party."

Brittingham said the after-prom event will be held at Dartmouth High School and will include entertainment, food and beverages, hypnotists, inflatables, games, decorations and much more to keep kids busy until about 5 a.m. Organizers hope to raise a big chunk of that $35,000 cost at the Vault fundraiser.

Performing at DHS Fest 2025 will be five bands, all made up of either current or former Dartmouth High School students. They include Amy Manny (Class of 2019), Rowan and Beautifully Human (2026), Jackson Neves (2021), Jacob Gervais (2021) and the Punk Cellist Ian Legge (2009) and Ethan Church (2023).

Gervais is a singer-musician and is exciting about performing at the fundraiser.

"I love performing. Its a big passion of mine, and to do it with some people I graduated with, and went to school with is really fantastic," he said.

Gervais was unable to attend his after-prom party in 2021; it was canceled because of COVID-19. He thinks the prom and the after-prom party are important events.

"You don't want to just go home after having fun with your friends at the prom," he said. "The after-prom party is super important. Everyone is together having a good time, in a familiar place, with people you know."

Tickets for the music concert can be obtained by visiting vaultnb.com. If you wish to make a donation to the after-prom party, call Dartmouth High School or email jessicabrittingham@dartmouthschools.org.
