Dartmouth AMC to Show Tom Brady Film ’80 for Brady’
SouthCoast football fans may have their fill of Tom Brady for a while after his departure from the New England Patriots, and the endless headlines about his personal life – but wait, there is more.
A new comedy/drama 80 for Brady starring TB12 and some of his former football cronies is coming soon to a theater near you.
The film opens nationally on February 3, 2023, but some theaters in the Greater Boston area will get to show it sooner. AMC Theaters in Boston, Framingham and Braintree have screenings scheduled for late January.
80 for Brady will play the AMC Theaters at the Dartmouth Mall 11, but not until February 3.
Tom Brady co-produced this film with Donna Giliotti for Paramount Pictures. The film was written by Kyle Marvin, who also directs it, and Michael Covino, Emily Halpern, and Sarah Haskins.
The film is based on the true story of four older women who travel to Houston, Texas for Super Bowl LI, on February 5, 2017. The New England Patriots beat the Atlanta Falcons 34-28 in the largest comeback in Super Bowl history.
The come-from-behind win was of course orchestrated by the GOAT, Tom Brady.
Jane Fonda, Rita Moreno, Lily Tomlin and Sally Field are our Tom Brady fanatics who make the trip to Houston to route for their hero and the rest of the Patriot team.
Rob "Gronk" Gronkowski, Julian Edelman, and Danny Amendola also appear in the film, as does Guy Fieri.
The film runs for one hour and 38 minutes and is rated PG-13.
Sounds like it could be fun and is certain to do well in New England, even with all of the disgruntled Brady fans who just want to remember what it was like for the Patriots to win.
