TAUNTON, Mass. (AP) — A 19-year-old woman and her boyfriend have been arraigned on charges in a hit-and-run that killed a bicyclist in Taunton.

Cecily Kilsby-Munafo is charged with leaving the scene of a fatal accident and misleading police. Her boyfriend, 26-year-old Ryan O'Day, faces a charge of accessory after the fact. Both pleaded not guilty Monday.

Authorities say Kilsby-Munafo was driving an SUV that struck a bicyclist at an intersection Thursday night and took off with the bike dragging under the vehicle. The victim, 36-year-old Michael Alfano, died at the hospital.

Authorities say Kilsby-Munafo and O'Day stopped shortly after the crash and O'Day allegedly pulled the bike from under the vehicle. They were arrested Sunday night.

The Boston Globe reports Kilsby-Munafo's attorney says his client fled out of "panic and fear."
