Jasiel Correia II will remain the Mayor of Fall River. Based on unofficial results, city residents gave Correia a narrow victory over Paul Coogan by 241 votes.

Candidates Joe Camara, Kyle Riley, and Erica Scott-Pacheco followed behind.

Correia is under federal indictment for tax and wire fraud. He has pleaded not guilty.

According to the Herald News, 61 percent of those who voted supported the recall of Correia.

However, on the second part of the ballot where voters were asked to select the next mayor, Correia garnered more votes than any of the four challengers. That means Correia remains the Mayor of Fall River.
