Dartmouth Police Relief Association's big event returns for the 16th year on Saturday, July 28 from 4 to 10 pm.

The Concert on the Green event began in 2002 to replace the long tradition of the Policemen's Ball. The concert allows for more of a family-based event and incorporates music with the outdoors along with a picnic type of atmosphere.

Held at the U-Mass Dartmouth Vietnam Veterans Peace Memorial Amphitheater, this open-air venue allows concert-goers to enjoy the music or head over to the picnic area nearby where hamburgers, hot dogs and other sandwiches are available, along with drinks and other treats.

In 2009, we incorporated a classic car cruise-in. Area classic car owners are encouraged to bring their classic cars and park them in a special area on the event grounds where they can be viewed by the public. Free admission and dash plaques will be given to the first 100 classic car participants.

Musical entertainment will be provided by "Kevin White" a Garth Brooks tribute band and "D.J. Gene Daniels,” a familiar face with all our events, will be providing live musical entertainment and emcee duties as he has for so many years. There is entertainment for the kids and adults alike.
