Clean Energy Center Cuts Ties With Cape Wind

Cape Wind and the Mass. Clean Energy Center have mutually agreed to end their lease that would have allowed Cape Wind to use the Marine Commerce Terminal in New Bedford as a staging area for its offshore wind project.

A spokesperson for the Clean Energy Center says the agreement was terminated because of Cape Wind's inability to complete its financing plans. Catherine Williams says if Cape Wind were to secure financing, then the center would be interested in speaking with the developer about another agreement.
